I’m Monica Wilburn, founder of MW Eyewear and a licensed optician with more than 22 years of experience helping people see clearly and feel confident in their eyewear. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving thousands of patients and customers, fitting everything from a first pair of children’s glasses to premium designer eyewear and complex prescription lenses.

MW Eyewear was created from a simple belief: buying glasses should feel personal—not rushed.

Whether you’re searching for the perfect fashion frame or need expert guidance for prescription lenses, my goal is to provide an experience built on honesty, education, and personalized service.

My Journey

My career in optical has allowed me to work in both independent practices and nationally recognized eyewear companies, gaining experience in every aspect of the profession; from frame styling and lens recommendations to optical dispensing, leadership, and patient care.

Over the years, I’ve learned that every customer is different. The best eyewear isn’t simply the most expensive frame, it’s the one that fits your lifestyle, your prescription, your personality, and your goals.

That philosophy became the foundation of MW Eyewear.

Today, I continue to share my passion for business and entrepreneurship as an educator while building a boutique eyewear brand that combines professional expertise with exceptional customer service.
